Charles Dickens,
(February 7, 1812 – June 9, 1870) an English writer in the mid-1800s, is
considered to be one of the greatest writers of all time. His work has
been praised by many writers for being realistic, somewhat funny, having
unique characterizations, and social criticism. As a child, Dickens was
constantly reading. He has shared memories of his photographic memory
of people and events, and how that has helped him in his writing. With outstanding novels like A Christmas Carol, A Tale of Two Cities, and David Copperfield which are greatly appreciated and still widely read, Dickens introduces one of his best novels yet, Great Expectations.
